I am looking for the lightest possible round ball load for short range, low recoil, practice.
I have on hand, Bullseye, Green dot, Red dot, and unique.
Any tips will be much appreciated

Thanks, but how low can I load it??
Don't want any weirdness happening from too small an amount of powder.

Half a case of BP and seat the ball down on it.

You have less to worry about with any load you try than just where it shoots in relation to the sights with what you're trying.

Just for comparison......I shoot a 2 ball 000 buck load in a 38 spl with 1.8gn of TightGroup. Great little quite load that is pretty accurate.
I have a 451 roundball mold in the mail I will play with this weekend. Will use TG also. And probably a very small tuff of Dacron to keep the powder back around the primer.
I powder coat everything so lube is not a worry for me.
