Cool new friend with an x-ray gun!

So today by happenstance I met a material analysis guy from the Comercial recycling yard here. He let me get 6 alloys scanned and now he says any days I wanna bring up some lead I can get it scanned. It only took 10 minutes with chitchat included to get a bucket of samples scanned.

You don't need an xray gun.......you need a hardness tester!!!!!!!!!

funny .. you can make them... they just don't work real well unless you really reduce velocity :kidding:

Lol they lead like crazy over 600fps I thought I had messed up something else. Also, the x-ray gun was just fun for knowing tin, and for instance I have a batch with .4% cu

That's the only kind of lead I had for my 45 auto and if the boolit was to small it would lead like mad. Make the boolit bigger and a medium load and no leading. Fit is truly king.
