I've bought and cast a ton of Lee 175's. With that being said, I'd like to hear opinions on the Lee 145 SWC. The round would be powdercoated and shot through a Glock 20. Thanks!

I powder coat and use hi-tek. what speeds wore you thinking of achieving? i shoot pc 150 gr in my 300 blk without leading. i don't think you'll have any issue with the g20. i would like to see some cast up. I've been looking for a light bullet for my ria 1911 10mm just to try to get a lot of speed. i think ill stick with the 200gr hp for deer though. i do use the lee 175gr (180gr is what it drops at) for target. post a pic of the 145 if you do cast it.103795103796

I'm not looking to push them to extreme velocities, just something that uses less lead than the 175s. My concern is the bullet design. My 105 grain SWC 9mm is not the most reliable in my Lone Wolf barrel. I just I translate that stigma to the .40.

You will need to drive them faster to work the slide.
I would try Bullseye or some other fast powder to make target or lower speed loads , hits fast to move the slide.

I have a 2 cavity 145, we have shot it in a SR40c, Beretta 96 and a 400 Cor-bon barrel in my 1911. Functioned flawlessly, however I have added a 6 cavity 175TC that I will use going forward.

I love this mould in my CZ75B .40. I only wish Lee made it in a 6 cavity.
