I figured W820 (my lot) at approximately .06695 cc per grain. Not real happy with my measurement, but it stayed pretty darn close for 10 successive throws of the Lee Auto Disk. Now I'm fixing to load a bunch of 444's with a Lee 310 grain GC boolit, which the Reloaders Reference calls for a maximum of 46 grains of WC846. I can cypher it out given time, but can anyone give me their VMD for this powder as a cross-check?

A resounding silence. OK, I'll show you mine first. WC846 VMD is .06896 - but use it with a grain of salt.

Rumor had it that WC846 and WC844 were Bl-c(2) and H335 respectively both of which show a vmd of .06450 so you're calculation looks to be very close to that.

VMD is the volume of one grain of gunpowder measured in cubic centimeters - per Richard Lee, who originated the term. Weigh a known volume to get the VMD for a powder which is not on his list in either edition of Modern Reloading. (Such as a surplus powder.)

Use it to select a cavity of the Powder Disk or a dipper size - then double check the weight. :-D
