Just cast a bunch of NOE's 64gr .223 GC boolits. I can start from scratch but thought I'd ask if anybody out there has already come up with a load they like. Use will be for long (up to 200yds) range paper punching and maybe some coyote or prairie dog plinking. Rifle will be the CZ 527 varmint with the 1 in 9 twist. Know there are a lot of j-word light bullets that work well but wonder about this specific boolit. I have IMR 4227, H335, H4198, IMR 4198 and 4064 powders.

For load data, just go the the military weapons section, and look for topics like Heavies in an AR, HM2-62, plus do a search "cast in AR", "cast in 223" Since you didn't give the name on the mold, I suspect it is the MX-3 62. Do not get hung up on data for your specific cast bullet, just look for data with cast in the same wt. range
What is the throat Dia. on your rifle ?

I was looking for data for a bolt action - not an AR but I have looked at that data, too. The mold is marked '225 55Gr. FN'. The bullets, when lubed, GC'd and sized (carnuba red through a Lyman 4500 to .225) run at 63.4gr plus or minus .2gr. As for the throat, I don't pick the rifle up until next Monday so can't say. I was hoping for something using the powders I listed above in the 2000fps range but won't know what will hold up until I try myself or get some ideas from others who have already gone down this path with cast 60+ grainers in a 1 in 9 bolt action.

Thanks Wayne, I've read it and that looks like the path I'll have to take with my selection of powders. His results with a 10gr heavier boolit gives me hope!
