This is a cobbled .45 acp together Para-Ordinance from the late 80's or early 90's I think. I have shot this thing till it rattles just to look at it. I replaced the springs and had the slide dura coated in the late 90's. I'm wondering what magazines this takes. It is a 13 round mag. Any guessers?

I never was around a widebodied 1911; but isn't that the time that the only one was the Para-Ordnance? I would try to locate an original Para-Ordnance mag to try first.

Yep, that's the original as far as I know.

an original for sure!

They used to sell Frame kits, BIL had one stashed since the bill Clinton era finally dug it out and had me finish it for him.

Gun turned out great but he never really got to use it before his untimely death.

Nephew has it now with all the other guns his dad had and just loves it.

Para should still have mags for that.

My P12 was a 12 round mag so I'm thinking a P13 frame. Check the Para website.

The Para website wasn't much help. I emailed them, but no response yet.

Sure looks like Para-Ord to me.

I'm thinking they call that a P-14 magazine, but I may be wrong. It's been so long since I got the 3 I added to my kit, I can't remember for sure. I am pretty sure that somebody else made a compatible mag as well, maybe marketed through CDMM?

P-14 mag, just like the 5 mags I have with my P-14.

Looks pretty close, I suppose the new model polymer base plate bumps the capacity to 14, or does the P14 only hold 13?
