Hello.I have been searching for the facts on the end of a Uncle who supposedly was a revenuer shotgunned by a moonshiner during prohibition. The shooting supposedly occurred in Arkansas, but could have happened in sw Tn,nw Ms or Arkansas. Are there searchable government records that that could give a hint as to his end? I have visited the county libraries in some of the places he lived-nothing. I have no idea if he was state or fed, or if the family story is in fact true,I would not be shocked if he was shot by a revenuer instead of a moonshiner. The last census record of him he was working as a foreman at a sawmill in West Memphis,I recon him to have been what is called "hairy legged" Just a mystery story that I'd like to finish. Thanks lreed

I'll bet that the US Department of Treasury has a 'hall of heros'. That is some sort of memorial for fallen agents.
