I can't explain it, but I've been wanting one of these little guys for several months now.

I can't seem to talk myself out of buying one. So does anyone have anything here good or bad to say about these little pocket plinkers?

Good luck finding ammo is all I will say.

I like your profile photo. I shared it here a while back.

Have not shot the .22, but have the .38 Special and it is well turned out. I think the best use of the. 22 would be as a trainer and practice gun, rather than carry. However with the cost and scarcity of. 22 ammo it is lezs attractive. I'd love to see them make a six-shot, 3" LCR in .32 H&R Mag or. 327!

I have a couple K stashed. Should feed this guy well until after the craze dies down.

Thank you for the kind words about the avatar. I have this one on several forums and it always makes me smile.

Shot my 38 LCR a bunch this morning, I load Mouse Fart 38's with 148 Full Wadcutters
& 110 & 158 SWC's.

A lot more fun than firing it with the old FBI load for sure.

The 22 LCR would be a hoot if the 22 Ammo situation was better.

I have a 3" model 63 S&W 22LR that I enjoy every so often.

I too have the 38 version, and its a hoot. I gave it a good workout yesterday with some 148 gr wadcutters in front of sr4756 and lyman 358430 (200 gr) in front of trail boss.

Both loads were easy shooters, that hogue tamer grip really helps. Accuracy was minute-of-paper-plate at all ranges up to about 15 yds.

I think what is keeping the pinpoint accuracy poor for me is the DAO thing. Try as i might, i cant hold as well through a double action pull as a nice SA touch off.

I dunno, im thinking that between the excellent recoil reduction of the grips (great for a 38+p load in a lightweight snub, not needed for 22lr) and the DAO operation (great for personal defense and safety, but not ideal for 25 yd target shooting), im thinking the LCR was not designed with the 22lr in mind

Still...it's probably a great gun, and if someone gave one to me or i had a lot more money, id probably get one!

The .22 LCR is a great trainer for the .38 and .357 versions. I have shot two of them and both shot to the sights. I know it is heresy but IMO besides the trainer function I think it is a pretty fair self defense arm in its own right.(.22 lr is a very efficient handgun round and nobody wants to get shot with ANYTHING) 8 .22s rival 5 .38s as a dissuader. Of course affordable ammo when it used to be available was advantageous.

I bought one when they first came out to give to my wife for X-mas. (I know, im too good to her) She likes shooting it and great training for her J-frame main carry gun. She and I both can shoot pretty good with it out to 10 yards or so. Functions fine and a good carry gun, 2-3 Stingers in the face will take all attackers down?

I was surprised at how accurate they are, given the short barrel and DAO trigger. A squirrel at fifteen yards is in serious danger if the one my brother has is typical. I just can't get past the ugly factor, but as many have said, "a hit with a 22 beats a miss with a 44."

Testify brother testify! A .32 mag LCR would be awesome.

I'd like 1 to. thought it would make a great, bad weather bike gun. Tho would prefer a 3" barrel.

I've owned LCR's in 38, 357 & 22. Love all 3!
Actually sold all my j frames as the LCR's covered the same bases with better triggers, sights & grips for less money.

22 trigger is about 3 lbs heavier than the others but still smooooooth. Have considered swapping the 357 mainspring into the 22 to drop the pull weight but don't really mind it as is.

I have four 1 22lr, 1 22mag and 2 38s. I like them all. Daughter likes the 22lr. Wife likes the 38. Only problem 22lr the spent shells come out a little hard. Luckily, I over bought on the ammo years ago.
