Got a mostly full can of the stuff. Even got the old snap top! What's it good for? Seems I had it for some shotgun loading I did back in the day. Not in the burn rate charts, don't see it in any of my old manuals. Thanks, GW

Edit: found some mention in the old Lyman 45th edition. A double based powder useful in some rifle cartridges. Gave a few loads for 30/06, 25/06, and a couple of others. Just need to get a better idea where it fits in to get some use from it.

The "Reloder" series of 7, 11 and 21 had a pretty shaky start in 1967, and only continued until 1972. Later, the 7 and 21 were revived, but the 11 was not around long enough to get into most of the loading manuals. It was described as "a good general purpose powder suited to cases as large as the .30-06 with medium weight bullets."

I keep coming across stray cans of Reloder 11 myself. It seems (to my very limited experience) a medium burn rate powder in the IMR 3031-4895 range. I only use it for my .250 Savage; around 30 grains depending on the bullet.

Thanks BR, thought it might be that way, but sometimes better to ask. Dunno if I get into more trouble by not thinking, or by thinking that I'm thinking. GW

Absolutely one of the best powders in the 30-30 Win.!

I used RL12 in .22-250 and a .308 but it is gone now too. Speer #8 says it lies near 748BR or close to the midway point of 3031 & 4895 like Bent Ramrod said. To quote speer: "RL-11 is the medium burning powder for the Reloader series. Especially good in medium capacity cases. Fine accuracy in most calibers."
