Well where do i start? I know i love this site ha im kinda at a plateau and overwhelmed at all the great info here on this site? Just wondering if anyone has worked up some loads for .357 Mag with this powder? Must be right new powder as I can't find much on it. Some of that along with some Bullseye is the only powder I've been able to find lately. Here's my stats.

Rossi M92 .357 lever gun
Lee 158 Gr SWC ( can GC this if needed) Also have a Lee 125 Gr RF mold
Fed 100 Primer
Aliant 300-MP
Cast hardness is 14 BHP with COWW. 10 oz of Lino Added.
Boolit sized to .357 and Lee LA Lox tumble lubed.

I'm. very new to CB so a starting load for this or a load for Bullseye and. 38 SP for my new rifle would help greatly. thanks for all the help that I see going on within this wonderfull site. Gotta send "45" some funds and get a few Bumper Stickers.

Use the Alliant data to start. The Jacketed data will be close to max.
18.6 grains for 158 grain Gold Dot and
22.3 for 125 grain Gold Dot
It is the top of the handgun powder food chain but it will be a while before you will see significant amount of data and data for boolits.

Hello J and thanks for reading and answering. Well with 18.6 for 158 gr with a gold dot, how much would you back it down for a cast Boolit with the stats I gave?

That is the ne plus ultra powder. I don't use 300-MP let alone 110/296, but I would start at 18 grains and 22 grains with gas checks. Otherwise, without a gas check, you should save the 300-MP for serious loads. That should work real good, but there is room for more work-up, just watch for signs of pressure. Boolits can take heavier loads than jacketed bullets. Should be interesting. Please report back once you get going.

J you have been very helpfully and thanks for it. Just want a good load that don't render the stamping on the back of the brass case unreadable. Lol.

Use jacketed data for similar bullet weights and start at the listed start charge and work up. Easy peasy.

Thanks LL. I will do so. Sou ds like I have a great start thanks to you folks on the .357 Mag loads. Now I just have to see what I can work up for a .38 sp 125 CB with Bullseye. All the info, science and chem on this site at a new B standpoint is a new world for me even if I have loaded some in the past. You start thinking things like, what kind of loads can I load for a rifle by increasing proven pistol loads. Not easy of a conversion when your on the New B learning curve plateau. Lol.
