B'fore i got so danged into CAS i frequented a BP rifle club with a ML and noticed most the "good" shooters reloadin the same cartridge to shoot and was wonderin what a good setup would be...single stage press or ?

The only people that shoot this way that I know of are in the Schutzen game. A bullet is seated into the barrel, the case is de/reprimed,powder is dropped and case reinserted. No press required as the case is fireformed to that chamber. That is my experience and I am sure there are other ways to use one case. Roger

ya might have that one, maybe they just used it to deprime and prime after cleaning with a brush I did see em droptube the powder then seat boolit with thumb........what about powder compression wouldnt they want that ?

Well most of the time we are using 12-14 gr of 4227 or some such and it does'nt come clos to filling the case, so no compression involved. Roger

Swiss BP doesn't particularly like compression so drop tubing would probably give what they needed, if that was what they were using. As far as hand tools for reloading, I like the Lyman 310 tong tools which is real close to what the old Buffalo hunters used.
