Anyone out there own a 8mm mold (aka LEE DC MOLD C324-175-1R MOLD DC)?

If so, could you measure the nose for me? I’m curious about sizing it down to .318 for my oversized .303s and Japanese 7.7. If the nose isn’t too fat, it might do.

Thanks.

mine measures .3155 and overall diameter is .3255 as cast. might be a bit big, I cant get it to start into the muzzle of a 303 barrel. my 314299 and .312 Lee both slip in the muzzles tooo easy of my Lee Enfields, the NOE 316299 is the only one that is a good fit.

Mine was way out of spec. It threw boolits that were .320" on the nose and .328" on the body. It has been reborn as a .341" slick side paperpatch mould...

Mine measures .3150 to .3155 on the nose depending on where i measure it. Body is .3250 to .3255 depending.

Sounds at bit fat. I was hoping for .309 at most. Thanks, much.

My beagled Lee 303 boolits drop at .315-.316". For lack of a better idea, I might tap gas checks on them and shoot them unsized in front of 10 grains or so of red dot. See what happens. Then maybe I'll lap it out to .318".

I've got nice Enfield and Arisaka sporters I've been trying to make cast shooters with mediocre results. Don't have excess cash to gamble on molds.

Thanks again!

Ha. Ha. That mold would have been perfect for my 8mm Yugo! Instead, I got a 8x56 mold and size it down to .327". Shoots real well.
