Today's Haul

[Gator 45/70]

Fired up my antiquated furnace today and cast a few ingots from a 1/2 bucket of wheel weights ( in box )

Below are helo blade weights, After a friend had dropped off enough too melt down, About 20# of this I was able to cast in ingot's, I consider this just about pure lead.

The wheel weights cost me a case of Dr. Pepper. The helo blade weights cost is still pending.

I have a mold for heart shaped ingots also. My daughters make and sell jewelry. When they do outdoor shows, the wind can be a real problem, so these ingots look nice while holding things down. Their jewelry is made from fired cases and shotgun hulls. They often get comments on the ingots and I enjoy telling people that they are merely being useful in this life until they are re-incarnated as bullets in their next life.
