and find yourself with out the cable that connects the control box to the sensor/skyscreen housing, be aware there are differences between a telephone and a data cable, even though they share the same 6 wire connector. I found this out after I had not zipped up the range bag that I store my Chrony in and my Boston Terrier decided to liberate the cable from the bag and chew up both ends of it. I wasn't too concerned as I had planned on getting a longer cable as the one supplied by Chrony, imo, is a tad too short. I bought a 6 wire cable from a big computer store and when I went to use the unit, I kept getting "Err 1" with every shot which meant the front sensor was not detecting passage of the bullet. I called Chrony ( was rather surprised I got a hold of them on the first try) and found out I had bought a 6 wire "reverse" cable which is used for voice/telephone. He explained I needed a "straight wired" data cable, which if you orient both plugs the same, the wiring order is identical from left to right. A reverse cable means one plug's wiring order is completely reversed from the other plug and will not work with the Chrony. Every thing works fine now, having bought the correct cable.

I learned the same thing shortly after I bought mine. In my case it wasn't because I needed a new cable, I just wanted a longer one.

These should be the correct cable replacements.
