Does anyone know if the Lyman 7mm M die will work on the 7 TCU? I see on the product information that it works on the 7-30 Waters but wonder whether it will work on even smaller cases since it labeled for use on cartridges up to the 7mm magnum.

Probably not. That setup to fit a 7mm Magnum will have a tall die body and likely a shorter stem. But if you have a short Lyman Die body or an RCBS case expander body from a set of pistol dies, you would have all the makings for a short 7mm M die.

Lyman makes an m die for the 7tcu. It is shorter. I don't know certain cartridges require a dedicated m die. CH4D makes m dies too.

Take care

IMHO Lyman M dies SUCK, in that they must think everyone sizes their bullets to .284 and there is no "belling " of the mouth. The RCBS is much better And a custom one from a member here AKA "Buckshot" that screws onto any RCBS depriming / neck expander stem is even better

I ordered the 28R expander plug only since I already had a 22 short body die for the 223. The expander was only 3 or 4 dollars from Lyman. It works well but if you are using fat bullets Buckshot will make you any custom diameter you want one larger than standard diameter. The 7TCU takes the short body.
