Just a heads up on 45LC brass, they have about 4k pcs. I just took 500, ya I know they listed as sold out and the reason is there was not enough to list as available because of the instant demand.

Finally got some myself recently. I've had a .45 Colt revolver for over 35 years and am still surprised at the demand for .45 Colt brass. There must be far more who shoot it than I've realized all these years. Is Cowboy Action a factor? At the gun shows I'm seeing it for $45/100 new and $25/100 used regardless of brand. If I had to pick only one handgun out of all I own, it would probably be the 7-1/2" Ruger Blackhawk in .45 Colt. It can be a pussycat plinker with 185 grain Boolits or a big game harvester with heavy boolits. I think it's the among the most versatile of the popular calibers.

I believe they are filling the backorders and what ever is left goes to the open market. The best way to get the brass you want is to backorder it and when it becomes available they give you a call to see you you still want it. Sometimes takes a while but at least you are on the list.

Last time I had to backorder brass, it was 38-55 long, so I ordered it from Midway. Figured they would get is as soon as anyone. Sure enough, months down the road (Starline only makes 38-55 brass twice a year), it showed up. Happy.. Mike

My backordered 45-70 brass is on its way. Should be here in a couple of days. This was from the rung just a couple of weeks or so ago, I guess.

bangerjim - just call them and see if they have any. When I didn't receive notification they where in a few months ago I just called and they sold me a thousand. Worse that happens is they don't have any.

I saw this post last night so I called first thing this morning. The nice lady said she didn't think they had any left but took my information in case. She also said it would be five more weeks if they we're out and they would send a confirmation email for the 500 I backordered when it ships to me. Five weeks doesn't seem too bad to me especially after what we have seen the last couple years.

I check Starline everyday. When .45 colt was available for backorder I jumped on it, the next afternoon it was back to being unavailable. I got my 500 on the day they said it would be available, just glad I got in there and got a little more brass.
The cowboy shooters are using a lot of the .45, and many more people have found that it's just a good cartridge, it's not as anemic as most people once thought. For those of us who like wheelguns it
s an awesome little pistol!

By chance, does anyone know why Starline does not make 357max brass? I think that 357max is more in demand than 360dw and I have heard that they make that. Waiting for Remington to decide to make a run is fruitless

OOPS. I should have read further down the threads as there is a post about Starline brass and 357max in the single shot section. Sorry

"Awesome little pistol"---LOL! Nothing about the .45 Colt is very little, in my experience. :bigsmyl2:
