My Swinger

Swinging target that is. At my work we're removing some old heat systems in several buildings. I couldn't bear to see some of the materials to go to the scrap yard. I made a swinger today from scrap. The legs are removable, The brackets were the hangers the held up the piping from the ceilings, The rest except for the actual targets is black iron piping. The targets came from another source which is 4140 steel not quite as hard as AR plate but on my test piece it will take quite the beating is virtually unaffected by handgun bullets. i will update the photos after I finish up the photos are the project tacked together. I can't wait to try this bad boy out!

Now that is very nice and a lot better than the scrap yard gettin it. I been wanting a duelling tree, maybe this summer. Nice job, now go break it in.

That is awesome. I might have to weld up a similar one, but a bit smaller so it's easily carried and thrown in my truck.

Thank you for the compliments. Yes they are at an angle. It does fit well into the back of a short bed pick up. I've built three different steel targets just so when we go throw lead down stream we can change it up some. The other day when a couple of us were testing this bad boy I was very impressed on the angle of the lead splatter. It was disbursed nice and safe at an angle about 6 inches back from center.
The next steel one that I've started I'd a .22 dueling tree. Photos after I complete it.
