Hi,
I would like to get a boolit for my Remington 14, cal. .30 Rem. (ballistic is the same as .30-30)
Ranch Dog TLC311-165-RF looks pretty good but according to warranty on their page:
“molds are designed to cast bullets intended specifically for the throats and chambers of the Marlin 336 and 1895 rifles”
I’m looking for some experienced opinion on it use on .30-30 rifles of other maker or other barrels.
Any advice would help.:-D
Thanks
Martin

The easiest way to tell is by running a slug through your barrel to obtain the diameter and the best way is by casting the chamber for comparison.

Martin...

Here is a chamber drawing from my Glenfield 30. It is cut to the SAAMI spec. Use this to compare a chamber drawing of the 30 Remington if you can locate one.

This bullet shoots very well out of this rifle but it could do well with a TLC310... but there are some applications, older rifles, where they need that TLC311. I'm very curious about the diameter of the barrel. You know how to slug a barrel?
