Just got a new rcbs 1500 scale. It says not to use with black powder. If I wipe everything with a drier sheet, think it will be ok? Not using the auto powder dispenser, just the scale.

black powder is measured by volume , not weight , as in 100 grains volume not 100 grains weight

I like to measure my Swiss 1 1/2 by weight. I have used scopes and a black powder measure and then weigh the volume. It is rarely the same weight. So I just use a scale and have determined the weight for the volume I want.

So what about using the rcbs 1500 with bp?

Black powder, the original universal pistol and rifle powder - designed for volumetric reloading right from the start. Make things easy on yourself, load by volume and don't sweat it. It's not a high pressure powder, generally speaking.
