I have been looking for one of these since the late 90s. I had wanted one when Brownells was distributing them in the late 80s but just couldn't afford it. This one is brand new. It came from an individual that helped the Pitzers tool up to make the sizers and he bought one way back when. Never used it.The picture on the left is the die.

The general operating idea is very similar to the Star except for being horizontal and having the "shelf" to lay the bullet on. This die is just a prototype and it is for a caliber I don't own and most likely never will but I want to leave things as original as possible so I won't modify it to a caliber I use.

I really don't "need" this since I have my Stars but I really wanted it. I have a pm in to Lathesmith for a price for dies.

Just thought some of you might be interested in a bit of reloading/bullet casting history.

It looks like a very nice and practical sizer, though less so then the Star, congrats!

I read about this about 20 years ago...I can't remember where but was also very interested in obtaining one. I looked for one on and off but never found one...congrats!

that sizer don't look too hard to duplicate.
I'd bet it and the punches could be made to order for about 75-100 bucks a pair.

Is the Pitzer a nose first/push through design?

Thanks,

Tony

I recall seeing one @ a gun show about 13 years ago. An interesting design.

Either way, just like a Star.
