What grit do you folks finish polish your size dies with?
Also what material do you use to make dies and do you heat treat it?

Flitz works for me to polish have not made dies yet!:idea:

Crocus cloth, A2 and just wing it for hardening/tempering.

Micro mesh, 8,000 to 20,000 grit. This is some handy stuff.

I will work down to around 1000 grit where I start depends on how much I want to remove. I then go to a tight flannel patch on a mandrel with diamond paste then shimichrome polish. Alot depends on what I see and experience on how I do this.
