New mould----casting joy

Got a new Lyman mould the other day. It's a 575611 thick skirt Minnie. I used it today and wow, is it nice or what. I also dragged an NOS Lachmiller .577-550 Minnie and got it to cast well too. The key was really cranking the Lee pot to full-tilt-boogie. At 800 degrees I got fully filled out minnies with no wrinkles, no frosting and no voids. Then I cast some .459-405 HB bullets for my Trapdoor. These dropped effortlessly from the mould too. A great day for galena.

No pix, sorry about that. I did have a good time though. Then I cataloged all of my moulds and got a really nice surprise. I never knew I had so dang many. They just sort of showed up over the years.
