40-82 Cartridge Overall length?

Anyone have this cartridge listed in their loading manual? Seem to be having trouble getting the cartridges to go through the loading gate. Will chamber if opening bolt and inserting directly into chamber. Thanks

according to my old notes case is 2.400" and loaded with Lyman 403169 2.775"

The listed cartridge OAL for the 40-82 is 2.77". I assume it's for a Win M 1886? The Win 1886 max cartridge OAL limit is about 2.85".

I have a drawing for the 40-82 cartridge as well as the chamber. The drawing indicates that the max O.A.L. is 2.765".
