Hello everyone , like alot of people I have been in the back ground for alittle while.
Reading and trying to understand the art of bullet casting. I am not a old hat at reloading , but have been doing it for awhile. But seeing I won't to hunt this next year with a handgun and I want to shoot cast bullets , you have to start learning somewhere. And this seemed to be the best place to start. I'll be shooting a 45LC in a BFR with a 7 1/2 " barrel . So let the fun begin , and to quote a friend of mines
grandbaby " what's up " with this bullet casting ? :Fire:

Welcome TXBOOMER, I'll give you my utility go-to load for the .45 Colt for hunting, target outdoors, ringing steel animals, and breaking rocks at 100 yards:
A 250 or 260 gr. cast Keith-style bullet, 9.0 gr. UNIQUE, standard large pistol primer. This works in all my handguns and in a Win M94 trapper, with fine accuracy.

Of course we can't see any rocks, or much else right now to shoot at, because we just had two back to back snowstorms, and it is belt-buckle deep out in the yard right now. Still digging out.
