I had a little problem w/my trailer some 1600 miles from home,I broke a spring. So my Dad and I went to the recycler/scrap yard to see if we could find a suitable replacement . On our way to check out I picked up a battery post clamp to toss in the lead stuff and spotted some flashing. I looked w/o intent, I planned to snag WW on my way home in a couple weeks. Speer and Serria boxes under the flashing. Then I look at this 5 gallon bucket laying on its side, WW ,ingots, boolits,balls..... 157# $45 and 3-4hr of casting already done in stuff I can use directly........I don't what to do w/400+gr 45s but I know where 30-40# of RB and 9mm/38/357 are going.

I know what I would do with those 400+ gr boolits, re-smelt them for stuff I could use.

Seems a waste ....... Oh well scores a score. I guess I should think of it as 100+ 1oz ingots.

Wayne,
I was thaaaaaaat close......damn she was a purdy Sharps (by Pedersoli) but alas I came to my senses......and bought 36cal 58 Remmy instead. There was a Guide Gun too. Its on the wish list ,the dream book has plans in it for a 45-60 straight (or a Colts,Causull,460,410) Mauser. I am working on a 45cal ML.

Nice thing......lead.......it melts again!!!!!!

Those 400's will melt nicely if you do not want to save them for a new gun.

It's nice to fine pre-cast boolits in the junk yard. I found several hundred pounds of 38's last year. Cleaned them up with laq thinner and Simple Green and powder coated them.

Nice find.
