Good all around mold for 30-30 and 308?

just getting into casting, still accumulating molds, lead pot and such. i am wondering what is a good all around mold for 30-30 and 308?

311291 or the 311041, either will serve well in either caliber.

I like the Lee c309-170rf for 30-30, i looked at it and it will just keep the gas check in the neck of the 308 the Lee is a close copy if the 311041 but in a 20 dollar aluminum mold , easy on the budget and shoots well.

Plus one on the 311291 for the 30-30. It also works in the 308 for me. This from experience acquired years ago.

Ranch Dogs 165 if you can find it or the C312-150 GB mold.

Both do well out of various 30 cals for me.

RCBS 180 FNGC ! I use this bullet in all my cakliber 30's to include a 300 Whisper. I use it at .310 for up to .309 bores and add .001 as bores cross the next thresh hold needing a fatter boolit.
I cannot think of a caliber .30 I have tried it in that did not shoot it well.
OPPPss ... Forgot about 32-20. Never tried or going to try it there.

You have what you need until you decide to try other options, just for fun. 311041 has been the most widely useable thirty caliber mould for me.

When I first started casting, the only rifle I had was a Model 94 Winchester in 30-30. The first mold I bought was the Lyman 311041. Later, I got a Savage 99 in .308. I cast some boolits with my mold, and lo and behold they worked just fine. I still have that mold, and still use it for boolits for 30-30, .308, and 30-06.

I am using the Lee 160 RNGC in both. Yes I know it is a round nose not meant for a 30/30 but my cowboy RCBS seating die puts a small flat spot on top of the round nose. Both the bolt 308 and the lever 30/30 love that boolit.
