Hey guys, just picked up a Clymer swage die set and some speer half jackets today, I take it they go hand in hand? ive searched and cant find much info online at all, its a single die and basically looks like this example,

http://www.ebay.com/itm/45-caliber-BULLET-SWAGING-Die-/351025500906?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51bac012ea

I was hoping there was a tutorial or step by step rundown somewhere on making bullets with these, but haven't found anything. any help would be appreciated. thanks.....denny

take a core.
insert it in the jacket.
place it on the punch
raise the punch into the die, lower the die a little and repeat until you have a bullet.
there ya go.

Sadly, 'tis a wee bit more involved than that. Check out Corbin's website for some good information. At the bare minimum you are gonna want some swage lube.

that's one place I haven't looked yet for info, haven't had a lot of time to mess with it yet, I have some half jackets I got with the die, I was think I could probably use annealed empty shell cases as jackets as an alternative if need be. im an experienced reloader, and have done a bit of casting, but swaging is a whole new thing to me and I have a lot to learn yet. thanks for you guys patience
