Any one install a muzzle loading barrel on a T/C Contender, using #11 caps
if so
how did you get around the problem of powder fouling in the firing pins..and will the firing pin reliably set off caps

at one time I had a H&R 45cal Huntsman, firing pi stuck from fouling easily

Didn't know anyone made one for #11 caps. Only ones I have seen are 209 primers. I don't see away around the fouling issues with #11 caps. It was a pain with the slam fire systems designed to handle the fouling.

good idea, smokeless muzzleloader incorporated can do the job for you and forget the number 11/s go with the 209 primers. cheaper and reliable.

the rules for the pistol matches we shoot, are no 209 primers, caps or closed ignition is ok
doesn't make sense to me, But that's the way it is

seems like there is no good way to do it, even 209 primers in a closed setup is a pain

might be best to forget it

thanks for the relies
