Thanks for sharing this. Seems like today most people don't even know what happened in WW2 much less honor the men and women that gave us what we have today - and what the idiots we have running this country are now trying to take away. Thanks to all who served!!

In case some missed it he has been married to the same lady for SEVENTY years.

He had a great smile on his face when Andre announced that and proudly held up his wifes hand.

Truly a vet I would like to shake hands with.

Thanks to all of our WWII heroes,My old computer doesn't like to down load u-tube or any long file. But I read there is a tradition in Hollland where families volunteer to take care of our war dead who gave all and are buried in Holland.I hate to think about these guys and what they went through and what the Pile of dung we have for leaders are trying to take away from them and us.

Yes the folks in Maastricht, Netherlands are reported to have adopted all of the fallen military (U S A,U K and A U as well) that gave all. They are reported as even collected photos of those brave men and every year on their freedom day Andre and his whole orchestra perform a free concert in the center of Maastricht in honor of all that lost their lives freeing Holand.

Previously I posted the young lady playing a special composition of Taps at the close of the concert.

And here it is again for your pleasure.

They have NOT forgotten and it did not surprise me that Andre paid special attention to that vet.

I enjoyed that very much. Very moving and very apropos. It's good to see that our warriors of the 2nd World War are still remembered and revered.

I also love to see and hear band and orchestra performances, as I have one son who plays trombone and a little piano and another who plays piano and is considered one of the top 10 teenage percussionists in our County.
