Taurus raging judge magnum 460 ?

I gots one of these, does any one no why it wouldn't chamber a 460 cartridge? it good four .410 ,45 lc and .454, I don't think 460 is that much more pressure than .454 and not as long as a .410. Any thoughts?

I wouldn't buy a whole box of them 1 or 2 should be enough.

If it says it's a .460 and will chamber the cartridge, it should work. I think I'd want to watch you shoot it before I tried it.

Might need a full cylinder for full "rapid deconstruction".

454 runs about 54,000 psi
460 runs about 57,000 psi
(actually closer than I thought)

Smart a$$ mode off - there is a reason Taurus doesn't cut the chamber for the 460 - trust them.

If it will take a 4.10 shell, I'm thinking the chamber is there, where a 460 would fit, bbbbut I don't think I would go for it.

Ha, I didn't really think about the length of the 410 - longer than a 460 I presume. Just be glad it doesn't chamber.

On a side note, I have a S&W 25-5, ....... it will chamber a 454 cart ........ !!!!!!! Talk about a hand grenade !!!!!!!

I store the 45 Colt and 454 in TOTALLY different types of boxes,

But if it is (honestly) rated for 454 casull pressures, then the diff aint that big
Most of my 460 s&w loads are lower than 57kpsi...because loads that high are no fun
Factory might push that envelope

I still think that your proposal is a very risky idea, but if the load chambers, and you can [CONFIRM] that it is a medium level 460 load, then the pressure should be OK
