Well, I finally decided to go ahead and trade out of the sealed box of 5K 22lr I had. I traded straight up for a BNIB GP-100 4" Stainless 357mag. The catch is.........the dealer has to find one. Expectations are in the next 2-3 months. I'm in no rush and just knowing I have it on the way is comforting. Dealer is a straight up guy and I have a trade agreement signed on his receipt slip, so no worries from that perspective. Now just the wait. Since I'm out no $$$ and the wife is in agreement to me having a little spending money next pay period, it looks like I will need to stock up on supplies. I already have 2400, 296, 231, TB, Longshot, etc. I have some heavier weighted cast boolits already made up. I have both Lyman and NOE 359429 and MiHec's 360180 WFNGC. I guess I need to get some more primers. I have 500ct Starline 357Mag nickle sitting downstairs, a few 38/357 brass mixed HS as well. Maybe I need a 140-160gr SWC mold? Any suggestions? What else does a guy need?

Mine shoots about anything well.

I tend to shoot way more specials than mag loads. I like 3.5 gr of HP38 and a 125 Lee RNFP.

The 358429 will be good in that revolver. Mine shoots the Lyman version quite well.

I have to try one of these pistols one of these days. I used to have a ruger security six and loved it. Wish I had it back.

GP 100 is rig up your alley. It is durable as heck, shoots well, and isn't overly expensive.

I have had mine for over 15 years and wouldn't let it go for anything. Sure has taught a lot of new shooters how to handle a revolver.

Mine is a 4 inch, I prefer it over the 6 inch. I just find it to be a handier size.

I'm pretty sure a 1911 is next on my list, then a bolt action 308 and then another 357 revolver, followed by a AR15

midway has a sale on Remington s/p primers right now.
I'd recommend the lyman 358477 for a good hole maker at normal 38/357 lite velocity's.

Sounds crazy I know but the 135 noe over a little bullseye loaded in .38 sp will put some of the finest groups you ever shot downrange in a .357. It's my plinking load. Cheap and accurate. Talking squirrel head accurate to 25 or so. ran this through every .357 and .38 I can get my hands on. FUN load.

The Lyman 358429 over a max charge of 296 in my 6"GP is an honest 2"average 50 yd load. The Lee 125 RNFP with 231 in the 5 gr. range (in mag brass) is another very accurate load. The GP is a darn nice well made accurate revolver.
