The pistol fits my hand very well and is comfortable. The only issue I have with it is that the trigger seems to be too short for me

The blued slide and barrel above the pistol is the 38 Super setup. The Super's slide is slimmer then the 45 ACP slide. I had bought a spring pack from Wolf as some of the 38 Super loads were pretty energetic. IIRC the factory spring in the Super is 16 lbs, and the Wolf set goes to 24 lbs. Naturally the springs work in both slides.

As per common these days, the Super headspaces on it's mouth vs a bit of the rim. As can be seen, the case is fully supported all the way around. The 45 ACP is the same. I just didn't want to take it out :-)

Picture the same thing, only in 40S+W and all "silver" (my wifes term) and you have SWMBO Witness. Very nice gun, a sleeper and priced accordingly.

My local gun shop had one of each in .40 and .38 Super. These were two toned deallies and they both had triggers of less than 3 # on them. They broke like glass with not a bit of creep.

These were the two best triggers I have ever felt on a handgun! I wanted one in 9 MM not .40 or 38 Super so I am still waiting................

............You can sure load a 38 Super to 9x19 specs, but you always have the extra case capacity if you need it. The only issue I see with the 38 Super is that shooters just don't leave their brass laying around for me to pick up :-(

A caliber conversion setup (Slide, Barrel, magazine, recoil spring and guide) was $264 when I got the 45 ACP conversion for mine. For the full sized pistol you can get 22LR, 9x19, 38 Super, 40 S&W, 10mm, and 45 ACP.

The EAA Witness is highly underrated in the world of gun rags. I have a full size all steel in 10mm. Bought used (looked like new) for $275. Would hang up on feed. Polished breech face, works fine now. I installed Wolff 22 lb recoil spring for full power loads. You are correct about the chamber fully supporting the case. Other pistols, especially Glock factory barrels, just don't do it. Good choice, IMHO.

Great, now you have me thunkin. What is the bullet dia of the 10mm?

Never mind, just got the Sierra manual out. Looks like .40. I load for the .41 and was hoping to keep things simple.

Yup, the .40 is just a scaled down version of the 10MM.

Yep, gotta love the Witness. Mine is a full size 10mm. Had one in .45 that was a sweet shooter, but sold it to a friend because he didn't have a .45 yet.

Sorry, I'm still new here-

What's "SWMBO" mean?

I think you just wanted a 10mm.

Well, yeah, that's true. Sold the .45 to one friend, used the cash to buy the 10mm from another. Now I want the .45 back too. 10mm rocks though.
