I have another Navy Arms Hawken Hunter after 36 years. This baby will take some really heavy loads. When I sold my old one years ago the mould went with it. The Lyman 577611 might work but I think my best bet for heavy loads is the TC maxie. Anyone got one they want to sell or a good copy?

I cast these with NEI mold. 400gr. I believe. If you would like to try some let me know.

Those look interesting indeed. What are the dimensions of the bullet?

My P H also likes the Lyman 575494. I dodified mine so the hollow base is only 1/8 inch deep.

This is one I have been developing based on a Lyman Mould. The rifle( whitworth )measures out at .568.The base plug is shorter making the Bullet longer, with a deep cavity.I cut an extra canelure for the bottom of the bullet. They weigh 600 grains and are to Joseph Whitworths specs for the large calibre Whitworth match Rifle.I have also incorporated a nose cavity with a wooden Plug to his specs.

at 100 yards using 75 Grains 3f BP.as you see widely spaced due to inaccuracy of nose drilling and lack of weighing each Bullet. These faults I will be ironing out shortly.

The top one is the test rifle,a large calibre Original Whitworth Rifle.
