Greetings
Been hunting about looking for a receiver sight for my BL 22 Browning. The receiver top is grooved for a scope. The flat receiver side is not drilled or tapped. I have no inhibitions doing that.
So has anyone mounted a receiver sight on a BL 22 ? Which model did you go with ?
Thanks Mike in Peru

My BL 22 has a Williams FP-GR-TK - no-drill or tap installation - easy to install. One caution - before you turn the elevation knob please make sure you release the tension screw, or you can strip the threads. I also changed the front sight to a hooded one - don't remember the number.
I use this rifle for Cowboy Silhouette shooting and it does very well with this sight.

.

Mike - Not all are happy with the way the Williams FP protrudes away from the LH side of the receiver.

Some more-compact units, adj for W&E, are:

The clip-on Williams WGRS-54 (which might need a bit of filework underneath for best fitment) & a higher front sight blade.

The Williams WM-96 Peep, which needs one 6-48 hole D/T'd atop the receiver & a through-hole drilled in the sight's forward tongue for the 6-48 attachment screw (from an extra scope mount base) - but zeroes using the issue front sight (height).

And, the Skinner Grooved .22 Peep - which also requires a higher front sight blade.
