With all the great people here, this has become my first "Ask a question" place to go.
I know someone can help.
Reparing a headphones for a friend. Need to remove the wire connector so I can shrink wrap the wires.
I hope the picture post.

lift the white tab very gingerly with a pick and pull the wire right out.

To help things along you can push with the tip of the pick down on the metal tab that's locking the wire in place. Just a little bit. That way you don't have to pull up as hard on the connector. you bend it back when the wire is out (using the pick again) to ensure it engages the delrin plug securely again.

No worries, I do this all the time for automotive work. should be pretty straightforward.

Not familiar with that exact one but looking at it I would say that if you gently lift the plastic tab the wire will pull out. Any of these type connectors the metal part crimped to the wire has a tit on it that is captured in the plug. You either have to depress the tit to disengage it or lift whatever it is engaged with to remove it. This looks like one that you lift to disconnect. Of course remember that all most all of these anymore are intended to be assembled and not be taken apart, so don't be surprised when either it breaks or won't stay together when reassembled...

There's a tool for that if you need to do a lot of them.

There are a whole series of tools for working on electronics connectors, pin pushers etc. At the casino we had all of them, guess which tool got used the most? Simple dental pick... except for pushing out molex pins, that requires a special tool.

I've used a paper clip held in a pair of pliers to push the pins out.

I used a dental pick and long sewing needle.
Needle worked the best for me.
