Great round for cast bullet shooting but can't help but to think that it would be much better served in a falling block rifle like the CPA 44 1/2 or a Highwall of some type.

Yeah, antique type cartridge in a modern rifle, either way there is lots of loading info over on ASSRA forum, usually reduced cast bullet loads for 200yd. offhand shooting and breach seating(which should be possible in the TC). I use a 205 gr pb spitzer with 14.3 gr. 4227, breach seated of course on my Orig. 1885.

Ought to be a a nail driver in the encore. I'd like to have one for mine too along with a 38/55 but my whelen bbl. shoots so good i can't bring myself to take the bbl. off...lol.
