I've been thinking of picking one up but I'm not sure about the extra barrel's.

I'm in Canada and shipping it across the border every time I'd like to try a new caliber is a LOTTA paper work if not impossible.

Do they have to individually headspaced?

I've heard their more or less a drop in and head space isn't an issue due to tight quality control.

Zuke, the barrels are "drop ins" as you put it, no gunsmith required. They look like and operated like single shot shotguns which you must be familiar with. There must be someone in Canada selling them; if not, there's a golden business opportunity. I don't know if there would be a problem mailing barrels across the border or not. No problem at all shipping them around in the U.S., no license or anything required.

I have or have had over 20 contender barrels and have never had a headspace problem yet. they are drop in/on.

Right now I'm doing my homework on these but I'll probably end up getting one.
I've been wondering about these for year's and alway's liked them.
What's the longest barrel length available for the 45/70?
And I'm assuming I don't have to be too consretative when it come's to loading for this cal?

TC makes a 23 incher. I just sold one of those a month ago. Never used it.
