I took a walk this afternoon along the creek
Mainly looking for deer sheds
But I took the FEG High Power clone in 9mm with me to plink
With the Lee 120 gr TC boolit (drops a great 125 gr .358 boolit) , lubed with 50/50
Pushed along with HP 38

After only finding 1 small rack
I headed home by the edge of the feild

Part way back I saw a ground hog feeding ....out a little farher than I normaly shoot
It was 75+ yds out

So I guessed on hold over and took a shot
I missed just over it's back
It took off runnng
Not at the brush line , but right at me

OK I new I missed long he first time
So I held lower and shot a few times

I am not sure witch shot or shots hit it head on
But the head was messed up and the boolit or boolits exited out it's backside

So there is one less female ground hog to make little ones an eat beans this year

And that will make the farmer happy

I like that boolit I got some coons with the lee 120 tc this year about 50 yards from a friends chicken coop , I recovered 1 of the 5 I fired into 3 coons it expanded some the nose pushes back and gets wider maybe 10% I didn't get a good measure of it but that is about the way it looked but I am not pushing it very hard either , but full pass through I found it just laying on the ground the next day where i had shot them one side was mangled a bit like it went through and hit the ground but fairly clear rifling on the other side

Charged by a groundhog? That's a new one for me but glad your 9mm prevailed.

I absolutely love groundhog hunting. That is how I learned rifle shooting over great distance.
Our Ohio groundhogs are vicious creature! Good shooting on stopping the charge! He would have eaten a whole through your shins.
