I have a couple of sets of Lee detachable mold handles and when casting the wood on the handles gets loose & starts sliding around. Tried using a punch to dimple the bands on the top of the wooden handle more but it does not seem to help. I have many 2 cavity Lee molds with attached handles which give me no problems. What is the best way to keep the wood in place??

Either drill thru and pin them in place or use JBWeld and glue them in.

+1 JB Weld. Did all of mine and they haven't moved since. Be sure to stage them vertically as the JB Weld is setting up. Next day good to go

I use gorilla glue and then drill a 3/16 hole, drive in a 3/16 roll pin and grind off the excess. Use a sharp bit and drill slowely. That sintered metal of Lee handles is very hard. A carbide bit would be nice. Then you can crank up the speed.

The metal rings on the handles keep them from splitting out. Lightly roughen metal handles with 100 grit emery paper and clean with acetone. Mix jb weld as per instructions work into wood handles a on sides assemble insuring that when pushed together a little gets squeezed out. wipe excess off and stand up right to cure. Next day drill thru ferrule wood handle and metal handle mout for 1/16-3/32 metal pins. Also glue these in place and trim to handles.
