Should your ingots sit for a certain time period before going into the casting pot?
I thought I read somewhere that the lead gets harder over time, like weeks.

Definitely not for ingots. Melting and casting will negate any hardness changes. People who worry about this do so only for boolits that I have seen.

Use the ingots when needed. Age hardening is eliminated as the lead melts. The lead has no "memory" of how hard it was.

Makes sense but I was just making sure. I warned you guys I would bombard with questions.
In less than a week starting this endeavor, I have smelted about 100 lbs and casted 700 nines and 300 40s. Getting ready
to move into the Powder coating phase.
