50-60 grns (volume) Should be pretty good for a pistol barrel

I have 2 cast boolits that I use in my rifle (CVA Acurra V2) 300 gr .452 in a sabot and a REAL .50 cal 250 gr I like both of these with a 100 gr charge of 777. I just wanted to use the same boolits in the pistol and I have a pot of pyrodex p and rs and 777 here and just wanted to see if anyone had a good load they use themselves in a similar pistol or maybe even a better cast boolit/powder combo

Mine came with a user manual listing how much powder to load. If you don’t have one i suggest you go to their website and download one.
I bought mine during BP season since it didn’t come with sights and I didn’t have a pistol scope to mount I had to order sights from CVA and didn’t get them in time.
I plan on using some of the TC sabots with Hornady XTP bullets on top of 60 grains of Pyrodex RS.
I have 777 but I have been told it is crush sensitive :veryconfu
Good luck

it would be better to use blackhorn 209 powder than triple 7. triple seven mau have some accracy potential but it leaves a very hard crud ring at the bottom of the chamber that is very hard to get out. the two most accurate powders you can use is real black and blackhorn 209 powder. real black reqiures cleaning between shots and blackhorn 209 doesnt. ive switched to the 209 powder as all my guns are 209 primer ingnition. i get perfect accracy with no cleaning between shots. a little cleaning after done and that all. i shoot patched roundball, sabots, cast bullets, and paperpatched bullets with the 209 powder and it works good with all of them. i like black powder also but got tired of the cleaning in my older years. im very happy they started makeing the 209 powder.
