I went to the gun show yesterday. The sea of benie-babies, purses, pink "stuff"?, quilts, sweater's (also pink) and other women's attire made me wonder if I had walked into some kinda women's boutique or a sisi-fied crossdresser convention!

Thank goodness there were still a few gun tables!

A dealer had an all original Winchester 75-T w/ the sights, sling swivels, original mag, etc. Additionally, it had a trigger shoe and Lyman/Unertl bases already on the barrel! Woot! I was able to trade a revolver (excess to current requirements) straight across for the 75-T

I pressed the quick-release button on the Lyman rear sight (ya gotta love the old Lyman peep sights) and slid off the Windage arm. I put my Lyman Super Target Spot scope on it for today @ the range.

That reminds me of my Winchester 52C that I have not shot in a while. I don't know what I like shooting better iron sights or with the Lyman Super Target Spot 15x scope.

I bought it from my best friend about 25 years ago before he died and I think of him every time I take it out to shoot, I also bought other guns from him that reminds me of our friendship also.

I put a Lyman 15X STS on the 75-T
I had already cleaned the bore & bolt. The action retaining screw was tightened.

Conditions:
clear
27 degrees
wind 10-12, gust to 18
50 yards
Federal AutoMatch

I bore sighted the Win 75-T and the STS @ 50 yards, and fired the bottom group. It was 2" low. I readjusted the scope and quickly fired the top 10-Shot group.

Then I went home! My hands were getting numb. It's too cold for accurate shooting! Brrrrrrr! :o

AutoMatch seems to be the best of the bulk ammo. That lot is older and there are a very few rounds left in that box. We'll see how the next (much newer) box does in the 75.

As always, a rifle will ultimately decide what it likes.

If the conditions had not been so ugly, I would have cleaned the barrel and tried some good wolf and very good Eley in the 75. I'm quite sure that group can be shaved down a bit w/ better ammo, less wind and more earthly temperature!

As I have several 52's, it seemed right to have a 75

The same w/ Remington. When you have Two
40X rifles, there had to be a 513-T also! ;)
