the most recent batch of clipon wheel weights I melted down into ingots had an audible ping/ring sound when I dropped it on the concrete. I remelted to cast some bullets and when I was done, I poured what was left back into the ingot mold. now there is no ring/ping when I drop it on the concrete. what happened? I did not add any soft lead. How weired is that?

That is what I was thinking. Maybe the earlier ingots were a few weeks old and aged hardened. I think about 3 to 4 weeks will get 90% to as hard as they will get.

So, should i wait a week to run them thru the lubesizer?

Easier on the equipment of you lube and size soon after casting before they get hard. Do some now, and then some more later and you will soon figure out which is easier. Dusty

Maybe the ingots cooled quicker the first time. Fast cool = harder ingot and rings.
