I'm thinking of making the jump from traditioal moulds to the custom manufacturers. Anyoneuse the NOE 434-235PB in a 44spl especially compared to a 429421KEITH?

I don't use that particular mold, but I can assure you, you won't be disappointed in the quality of your new NOE mold regardless of the material you order it made of.

I do not have that paticular mold. I do have a NOE 429421 245Gr. SWC six banger Alum. mold that I use for my Ruger Lipsey Special in .44 special cal. That mold drops the boolits at .4345 dia. 255 gr. using my alloy of 50% clip on wheel weights & 50% pure lead with 2% tin added. I have two target shot in the past 2 weeks on my reloading wall that both measure 1-1/4 inch group for 6 shots at 25 yards. I use the "Skeeter" load of 7.5 gr. unique.
That NOE and my Accurate 41 cal. 220 gr. SWC four banger are my two favorite molds. Both drop very consistant boolits in dia. and have proved to cast very accurate boolits. The one thing you will see in NOE and Accurate molds is consistant dia. of the boolits they will drop that you will not see in most factory molds.

Thank you both for your replies. I really have no doubts on the quality of NOE moulds from reading posts on this forum. My main concern is which of the two moulds to order. I was hoping the lighter bullet would shoot as well as the heavier.I too have the Ruger flat top and my Lyman KEITH drops a little too small for the throats.

Using 2-6-92 alloy, my Lyman 429421 drops at 0.429" and my NOE 434421 drops at 0.434". I size to 0.430" for my Ruger NMFT Bisley. The NOE bullet works fine, the Lyman is a bit small. And, the NOE mold ( a 5-cavity) is great.

I have used both. My .44 special shoots both very well. Either will make you a happy person.
