This is a little carbine I put together. A friend who was a talented metal smith took this Win 94 in as a job.
He was to re-chamber it from a 45 Colt to 454. He built large caliber big game rifles. And liked a large chamfer at the start of the chamber for positive feeding in any stuation. He messed up the head space because the 45 Colt has a relatively small rim. And he used his large chamfer. He ended up buying the rifle from his customer. He didn't like 94's and was rather mad at him self. He brought it to my house and all but threw it at me. Telling me to see if I can do anything with it. I replaced the leaver, cartridge guides, and lifter with some parts I had laying around. Copied the original barrel conture and chambered for 38-55. put a short mag tube on it just long enough to get a swivel base on. This thing shoots very well. Just showing off a little.99993

Barrel is a 375HH Douglas blank. 18'' long all I had at the time.
So I guess it would be right at .375". I shot all the cast or I would have had a photo with cast bullet.

Goodness me that's a handy, punchy little rig. Nice.

It holds three in the mag. The most shots I've ever needed when hunting deer was two.

AAAhhhh how I'd love to have a 38-55 with a .375 barrel. But, then again, if I had I probably wouldn't have gotten into swaging. BT made a set of dies for mine.

Super Duper - Very Nice - which molds are you going to use with it?

Any Cal.

I have the Lee mold and the standard Lyman 375248 and a
Lyman 37584 at 301grns. As a caster always looking for more molds for my family.

I also have the newer Lyman offering 378674 I bought this to shoot in a planed single shot 38-56.
But found i doesn't fit my barrel. Anyone make me an offer?

I forgot one, I mentioned on another post that I shot the Lee conical for the 36 cap and ball revolver in my 38-55's. Some one asked what size they cast at. I got .378 X .379" out of Lyno.

you know SE Idaho ain't too far from here.

I have a 375449 I scuff size to 379 for my 375 Winchesters.
it might work in this rifle too
if you don't mind a gas check.

I think I might still probably have a dual cavity 300 and 315 gr plain base saeco around here somewhere still too.
