I was wondering if anybody has tried this? looking for a inexpensive load.

Trying to explore a new option that wont consume my stock, im teaching my niece to shoot and will probably shoot lots of lead!

Any help will work! thanks in advance!

Balls work great, just coat them with Lee tumble lube and load them in unsized cases. Sometimes the primers back out and tie up the cylinder. If they do, drill out the flash holes but keep those cases separated so they don't get used for full power loads. Around 2 grains of Bullseye or something else really fast burning works well. Don't drive them too fast, they won't work and it is easy to do. They will hit way lower than normal loads so you need two targets. One to aim at and one to catch the shots.

I use the Lee 105 SWC and 3gr of Trailboss for plinking and POA & POI are the same

I used to use Speer .433 round balls for plinkers in my .44s - I ran them through the .430 die in the 450 which resulted in them having a visible top & bottom and bearing surface. I used a card OP wad and a grease wad over 3.0 of Bullseye and they hit point of aim. Also I could stack multiples more easily since they were flattened/shortened a bit by the sizing.

I'd look at the Lee TL356-95 TC. It is light, it shoots closer to point of aim, and you can use it later when you load 380's or 9 mm. I have not had satisfactory results in my shooting experience with Roundballs. Too many unexplained flyers to suit me. When my daughter was little, I cast up a bunch of 358-101 75 grain wadcutters and loaded them over 2.5 grains of bullseye. She still has her S&W 36 3" HB.

been looking at bullet traps but they seem to be large and heavy, I cant do large and heavy due to a 2 level lumbar fusion, what I can maybe do in the future is a sand burm

105gr boolit looks like a good option, Im first going to try the round ball load and see how it fairs. If I cant get it to group Ill try my 124gr 9mm mold.

Anybody have .360 buckshot I can try out? If so Ill pay shipping to try 50 or 100.
