I have an old benjamin 317. Think that it might need a rebuild. Thought I'd check the velocity first. With 6-8 pumps what should the velocity be? If it needs a rebuild can crossman handle that? figured somebody here would know.

As far as I know, Benjamin never put a velocity value per number of pumps on their guns. If you want to check it for leaks, just leave it pumped up for an hour or two and see if the penetration in newspaper falls off.

I don't think Crosman wants to have anything to do with the old Benjamins. Try this link, good folks.

I keep my Benjamin 392 (1994 vintage) pumped at all times with 2 pumps - as per the instructions...

Also has number of pump to FPS info as well.
