Ii have a 50 cal TC white mountain carbine. I thing the twist is 1 in 28. Wondering what mold from lee to make bullets for the green sabots. They say 44 cal on the sabot box ( for the bullet). Also wonder ding if straight wheel weight alloy would be ok for whitetails or should I use pure lead?

Use pure lead and size them to 430. The Lee 310 gr flat nose boolit will put them down quickly. happy hunting

In the 44cal, I think that is the best option.

All of my T/C rifles shot the best with 240gr Jacketed. Tried the 300 gr but the lighter ones worked better. You kind of need to match the length of the petals to the driving bands on the bullets. Find the petal length and go from there.
