Recently traded a rarely used m&p9c for a 6904 when I decided I would rather carry my j frame. Anyone recommend this for +p? I have read on Internet they are good for billions of rounds of +p+ (maybe I am exaggerating). The trigger seems awesome though.... very short reset and it reminds me of my gp100 kinda. I am mostly used to shooting my gp100 and single six.

Ok just to clarify... gp100 has a mile to travel before reset, but the pull weights are not too far off for da or sa

Just dry firing the thing I believe I will like it much more than my m&p, although that was a nice pistol when I practiced with it.

The old school S&W autos are amazing firearms.

Have owned in the past 2 ea 6906s and sold 6904 last week (actually my son did for a M&P). Love the guns. Slightly trimmer than a G19 and used to the safety working like my issued M9 at the time.

Ok, that would have been a neat coincidence.... The guy I got the 6904 from was just west of suffolk, va. Also interesting was the serial number consisted of one number 4 times in a row.... don't think I will let that one go

99654 I've been shooting this 5906 for years. It shoots anything you throw at it in 9mm reliably. Recently changed sights. I got this from a police trade in, when they changed to Glocks. It's a very good gun.

Took the 6904 to the range today. Shot pretty good. The only weird thing was it shot about 4 inches low with golden saber ammo. It was fine with my reloads of 115 tmj with 4.5 grains titegroup or 7.4 grains hs6. No big deal. My 92 fs works fine with the golden sabers. I have some hornady tc 147 grain hollowpoints I will try out so I can make this my new carry pistol.

Ya'll need to stay away from those old school steel S&W autos. They are horrible handguns and not fit to be owned...except by me.
