I have always used a crimp like the one on the right. I been shooting the 310 out of a 10.5 inch SBH with 16.5 of 2400 and had good results. Except by the 4th shot # 5 has jumped out of the crimp groove. So I went to the crimp on the right. Is that to aggressive? I've seen factory ammo with a similar crimp. Just asking.
Thanks

I don't see any comments with your photo, but I'll offer you a comment.

The crimp on the left is very much EXCESSIVE.

Comment should be there now. But that was my question.

Change to Hornady dies so you have case tension, your picture shows none at all. You are depending on the crimp and the left one just ruins boolits and brass.
You can alter your expander to make your dies work.
That hard crimp will bulge brass and destroy any tension you started with too. I can not imagine any boolit opening it either, with out getting sized down.
